Brief About Us

Community Advocacy and Awareness (CRAWN) Trust is a change catalyst providing African women and girls with the tools, voice and platforms in which they can effect change at individual, family, community within local, regional, national, continental levels in economic, social and political spheres.

Empower women and girls by confronting threats to their freedoms, rights and create impact that helps them be change agents in their communities.
Raise awareness through civic & political education to the extent that citizens can pause, take stock of their decisions, and re-imagine a better society.
Birth transformative leaders who are elected by informed citizens within accountable systems.
Harness fresh, untapped talents and skills from the marginalized in society.

A Kenya where citizens enjoy their full social, economic, and political rights as enshrined in the Kenyan Constitution and in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The CRAWN Trust Theory of Change is based on sustainable development being achieved through values driven Governance and transformative leadership.  When development is values driven and inclusive then communities thrive. When the values of equity, justice and accountability, inclusivity and fairness lead the process of development, then women and girls, youth, PWDs and other marginalized groups thrive.  CRAWN Trust believes that a values driven leadership has an important role in creating a vibrant and engaged citizenry. An engaged citizenry will impact lives and transform communities to ensure equity, justice and accountability, fairness, and inclusivity for sustainable development.

Our Mission is to foster a values led leadership and Governance that upholds all democratic values and the full enjoyment of social, economic, and political rights as enshrined in the Kenyan Constitution. We will achieve this at National and County levels, through Research, Policy development, Advocacy,  networking and coalition building, and a wide range of educational and communication activities.
