CIVIC EDUCATION FORUMS ON THE BILL OF RIGHTS AND VOTER EDUCATION 2012-Amkeni Wakenya
Mathare forum at the St Theresa Catholic Church on 3rd December 2012
The goal of this project was to create awareness on citizens economic and social rights , citizens roles and responsibilities and voter education. This was to empower citizens to demand for better social policies and services from duty bearers. Under this project CRAWN deployed observers to the political party primaries in Nairobi and Kiambu Counties to monitor if the primaries were free and fair as this is a critical determinant of the leaders communities get. CRAWN Trust shared recommendations on the primaries with other stakeholders.
CRAWN trust also supported the first phase of the Women Situation Room 2013 aimed at including women in peace processes around elections to avert and monitor cases of electoral violence
