Under this project CRAWN Trust built the capacity of political parties on laws promoting women leadership, organized women into a political capital from across parties and mobilized support for women candidature from communities by increasing their visibility. CRAWN Trust worked with other stakeholders to ensure the security of women and communities at large during the electoral period. The UN Resolution 1325 which was adopted as the Kenya National Action Plan recognized the role of women in peace building. Women were engaged in various peace processes in identified violence hotspots and mobilized support for the court case on failure of parliament to reach or enact legislation on the 2/3^rd gender principle.
